If you are not able to leave town, try to stay clear of the places that will remind you of your X. Put your focus on a hobby. If there’s something in which you have an interest, spend time learning about it! This is a significantly better way to spend your time and vent your frustrations than sitting around feeling angry or sorry. There is never going to be a more suitable time to discover something different. Develop your confidence with whatever method necessary: alter your hairstyle, get a makeover, wear different clothing than typical, pamper yourself, or whatever. Doing these can certainly help you feel better about yourself. Stay clear of gossip regarding your ex-lover. Try not to spy and pry, do not look at his or her Facebook pages, and avoid gossip. You will only determine whether your ex-lover is seeing another person or that someone's been making the moves on him or her. Even when you truly believe that you would like to get back with your ex-lover, a bit of time away is good for you and you really should attempt living without him or her.
